ABANotes uses artificial intelligence (AI) to assist healthcare professionals with documentation and administrative workflows. AI is designed to improve efficiency while supporting—not replacing—the professional judgment of qualified clinicians.

How AI Is Used

Depending on your organization's configuration, AI may assist with:

• Clinical documentation
• Session note drafting
• Assessment summaries
• Reassessment summaries
• Treatment plan support
• Administrative documentation
• Text organization and formatting

Human Review Is Required

Before any documentation is finalized, signed, submitted, or used for billing or clinical purposes, users must review it for:

• Accuracy
• Completeness
• Clinical appropriateness
• Compliance with payer requirements

Healthcare professionals remain solely responsible for the documentation they approve.

Customer Responsibility

Customers are responsible for reviewing all AI-generated content, correcting inaccuracies, and exercising independent clinical judgment.

Privacy & Security

ABANotes is designed to support protection of PHI. AI features operate within the security controls of the ABANotes platform.

• Anthropic

Model Improvement

ABANotes does not use customer PHI to train general-purpose AI models.
